Lovely’s Sewing & Arts Collective (LSAC) is a nonprofit located in north Minneapolis, MN, established in June of 2010 out of Homewood Studios located off Plymouth and Russell. LSAC has been successfully running at Homewood for 11 years and counting. At LSAC we teach youth the art of sewing and yoga. Sewing is the foundation of the program. The kids create, sell and open savings accounts or add to their existing accounts as they learn about financial literacy and money management. Sewing and yoga are used as tools to teach patience, focus, leadership, entrepreneurship and most of all accountability.
